Tanias Arthouse was established in 2003 as an Art School and workshop venue. Founder, Tania Davidson has gradually built the studio into a well known and loved art school. Tania has studied Illustration, traveled the world and completed a Bachelor degree in Visual Arts through QUT. The Art school has steadily grown in popularity as more and more students attend the classes. Tania has taught thousands and thousands of students! Tania Davidson has now joined forces with husband and fellow artist Tim Davidson. Tim can be found in his Drawing Lab, a great space for focussed drawers over 10. Tim Davidson has a background in the Graphic Arts industry, he also studied illustration and has a fantastic eye for colour! Both Tim and Tania are now heading out to run engaging workshops for Schools. Excursions and Incursions are a great way to share the visual arts with all young students.
The Art Store was so well received by local shoppers that as soon as they opened their Bloomfield Street Retail Store they won the Redlands Business awards! Now the Art Store can be found upstairs at the entrance of the studio, opening hours change to suit the workshop schedules so stay in touch and follow Facebook for updates.
With constantly changing ideas and community focussed workshops and demos, you can expect something interesting!
"It's just us running things, from the basic daily tasks, website building to product ordering and the mammoth task of running the art school...we love what we do! And we can always be found with smiles on our face no matter how big the day ahead is! It's a big job running a small business....but when our customers say they have had an amazing experience with us, whether it be an event, painting class or just one of the free demos in the art shop...we know we are part of something so much bigger..it's a creative community! We are constantly putting it all back into the spaces we run so we can deliver more to our customers." Tania Davidson
